I love doing arts and crafts with the kids but often it is the simplest art activity that the kids enjoy the most and often ends up giving stunning results.
The last few days I have been a bit under the weather so when the kids wanted to do something simplicity was very much required. Paper, paint and paint brushes was all we used.
We started off the usual way by putting some paint out in a painting tray and the kids painted some fireworks.
But then we tried something different – I put two small blobs of different colour paint in the center of a piece of paper.
And the kids used their paint brushes to drag the paint (my little boy’s words) out onto the paper.
They both thought this was great fun and ended up doing a number of different versions with different colours (I will refrain from loading pictures of all of them).
This was a big hit with both kids and also with me (I admit after seeing the kids do one I also had a go). We will definitely be doing this again.

Looks interesting…what kind of paint did you use?
