So I am going to BritMums. I was not sure for a long time if I should attend or not and then a few weeks ago hubbie convinced me that it would be good for me so he bought me a ticket (Thanks hubbie).
Let me start by saying – BritMums is great. I went last year and I learnt sooo much but it also can be a bit intimidating. I know no-one there and everyone seems to know each other. Plus I always feel like I am just me, a homeschooling mom who happens to keep a record of our projects and what we do.
I mean when I hear some bloggers talk on social media it is often totally over my head. The way they talk about this code and how you need to insert this or that. If you want to talk about fun ways to teach the kids phonics or how to make maths interesting – I can totally get in on that chat. But code and plugins etc. WHAT ?????
But as a home-educating mom I am always telling me kids it is good to learn and new experiences are fun. So in 2 weekends time I am going to be showing my kids by example and I am going to have a very rare day off from home-educating mom duties.
My plan is to go and learn as much as I can.
