Hi

I am a mother of two, originally a Chartered Accountant but now a stay at home, home educating mom.   My oldest (or big sister) is my 14-year-old daughter and the reason we started home schooling and my youngest / little man (or little brother) is my 11-year-old son.  We are originally from South Africa and have been living in the UK for many years.  The reasons why we home educate are in this post Why Home Education ?    I am not anti-schools in fact I know lots of wonderful teachers who I admire and who have given me wonderful ideas and guidance for our learning.  I just believe that for my daughter and my son this is the best option.

This blog is me sharing some of our “learning projects”.  This may include ideas for baking, doing arts and crafts, themed projects or it may be a snippet of our SPD journey that we are on.

The crafts featured on this blog are all made by my kids (and sometimes a few of their friends), so they are not going to look professional, they are child friendly craft activities.  My main objective is to nurture a love of art and crafts in my children.  I do not expect them to create perfect pieces.

Privacy Details

Any personal details that you enter (name and email address) will not be shared with third parties or used for commercial purposes.  You will be asked for an email address when commenting on posts but this is just for anti-spam purposes.

If you sign up to receive email notifications when we publish a post your email address will be stored.  Again I will never share this address with others and you can always unsubscribe at any time.

I will never ask for credit card details.

WordPress also uses some data for Stats purposes – they record geographical location and which pages users visited.

If I share links to other sites (for worksheets that we have used, resources we like) please do bear in mind that they are a 3rd party site and that they will have a separate privacy policy to mine.

The Images that I use on this site are mine (photographs taken by me or a member of my family), if we use images from another site we will always get permission first and credit them.

Please do not take images off this site and use them without first asking permission.
